Melbourne gives up the season-opening slot in 2027: the Albert Park race is round three, with the Grand Prix on Sunday 4 April and a sprint race on Saturday 3 April The circuit around Albert Park Lake is a short tram ride from the CBD along St Kilda Road, and the four-day event also runs support categories.
