He has stepped away from public performance. We share this only so fans have accurate information: there is no 2027 concert, and any tickets sold under his name for a Melbourne show are not official.

John Farnham Melbourne 2027: a hometown career

Farnham grew up in Melbourne's suburbs after his family emigrated from England, and the city has been at the centre of his six-decade career. He has performed at venues such as Rod Laver Arena and the Arts Centre's Hamer Hall, and Melbourne was a key stop on The Last Time Tour, which ran from November 2002 to June 2003.

The city honoured him again recently. On 20 September 2026, around 120 local and international artists gathered at Rod Laver Arena for The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend, a tribute concert. Farnham was unable to attend because of his health and was represented by his son Rob. It was a performance of his songs by others, not a Farnham concert, and no follow-up tribute has been announced for 2027.
